Job summary

The Candlelight Theatre in Ardentown, Delaware, seeks non-union singer/dancer/actors for Scrooge, with performances 3–5 per week. Auditions are by appointment and run from August 23 to August 25, with rehearsals starting around September 22, 2026. All roles are paid and opportunities to supplement income via restaurant gigs exist.

Housing is not provided. Audition notice emphasizes inclusivity of all ages and identities; callbacks may be scheduled if needed, for a production running November 14

The Candlelight Theatre, located in historic Ardentown, Delaware (30 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia)is seeking non-union, singer/dancer/actors for its upcoming production of Scroogewhich runsNovember 14 – December 21,2026. Director/Choreographer –Jody Anderson.The Candlelight Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities to attend auditions.

Auditions will be held by appointment on Sunday, August 237:00 – 10:00pm and Tuesday, August 256:00 – 10:00pm.Callbacks will be scheduled if needed.Rehearsals begin on or around September 22, 2026 through Friday, November 13, 2026.

The Candlelight Theatre is a professional Dinner Theatre located in Ardentown, Delaware, approximately 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. All roles are open and paid. There are 3-5 performances per week. Additional restaurant opportunities, if desired, are available to supplement performance income. Housing is not provided.

• Ebeneezer Scrooge F2-G4 (40's - 60's)- Cold, stingy, miser, who, with the help of visitations by 3 spirits, learns the true meaning of Christmas.
• Bob Cratchit - A2-F4- (30's-40's) Scrooge's loyal, hardworking, underpaid clerk. A loving father who tries to keep his family happy despite their poverty.
• Jacob Marley - F#2-F4 (30's-60's) Scrooge's former business partner. Appears as a ghost, bound in chains to warn Scrooge to change his selfish ways.
• Ghost of Xmas Past - (Age: Open)A gentle spirit who takes Scrooge back to his lonely childhood and happier memories.
• Ghost of Xmas Present - (Age: Open)Loud, joyful spirit who shows Scrooge how others celebrate Xmas.
• Ghost of Xmas Yet to Come - (Age: Open)Silent, dark, and hooded specter who shows Scrooge his grim future if he doesn't change his ways.
