Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent or 2 years related technical experience.
• On the job welding experience or formal welding training.
• Ability to read and interpret welding and shipyard procedures and drawings.
• Available to work all shifts and lifting/heights as required.
• Possess own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate frames and cylinders for pressure hulls using hydraulic fixtures.
• Perform welding and related steel fabrication tasks as per work packages.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols; prepare surfaces per specs.
• Pass required welding tests to remain in position after training.
• Operate basic shop equipment and assist with shipyard procedures.
