Job summary

PURVIS Systems, a technology solutions partner for federal and local government, seeks a Systems Trainer to train, brief, and certify submarine systems and crews. The role includes OS training for Windows and RHEL onboard submarines, system briefings to Commanding Officers, and ongoing system software/hardware development.

The position requires travel up to 30%, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-critical Navy submarine environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional Information Technology experience in submarine operations.
• Ability to interface with senior military and civilian personnel during onboard certification.
• At sea operations on a deployed submarine.
• Familiarity with Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) equipment configurations.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Operating System training, configuration, and certification for Windows and RHEL onboard submarines.
• Conduct system briefs to Commanding Officers and crew.
• Develop, maintain, test and repair Special Projects System Software and Hardware for government clients.
• Assist in the development of TEMPALTS in support of Special Projects requirements.
• Assist in system preparation prior to shipment and installation.
• Create and implement testing procedures for RHEL and Windows systems.
• Install computer systems onboard submarines.
• Perform cybersecurity scans.
• Travel up to 30% of time.
