Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat's Newport Engineering Office in Middletown, RI is seeking engineers at all levels to join the Sim/Stim Software Engineering team. The role offers work on a large, technically challenging Navy submarine project with exposure to full software lifecycle in a Linux/Agile environment.

Travel to customer sites is required on occasion, and candidates should be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Computer Engineering, CS, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of post-graduate professional engineering experience.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and integration of simulation software.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the lifecycle of submarine software.
• Interface with customers and end users as needed.
• Document, test, and deliver software and hardware configurations.
