Life Cycle Engineering is seeking an On-Site Submarine Sail System Representative for multiple locations, including San Diego, to inspect, train, and evaluate HM&E submarine sail systems and towed antenna systems aboard US Navy submarines. The role supports fleet maintenance and regional teams.

You must be a US citizen with active DoD secret clearance and at least five years of submarine HM&E maintenance experience, including leadership with shipyards or government contractors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Five (5) years of DoD or related submarine HM&E maintenance experience.
• Five (5) years leading Maintenance Activities, Shipyards, or government maintenance agencies.
• Two (2) of the Five Years in inspection, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of Sail and/or Towed Antenna systems on US Navy submarines.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and oversight of submarine sail HM&E systems at On-Site locations.
• Inspect high data rate antenna, communications antenna, imaging/periscopes, masts, radar/navigation and related systems.
• Update technical databases with issues and provide repair recommendations.
• Review and validate technical documentation and configurations.
• Liaise during sail zone installations and represent TYCOM on technical issues.
• Other duties as required by business needs.

Submarine Sail Representative (Multiple Locations)

The On-Site Submarine Sail System Representative will be responsible for inspecting, training, and evaluating failures of submarine Sail Systems. They will also provide operational and technical maintenance support to regional support groups, fleet maintenance teams, and naval shipyard personnel. The representative will provide guidance on the inspection, installation, repair, and maintenance of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Submarine Sail Systems and SSBN Towed Antenna systems for SSN, SSBN, SSGN Class Submarines. This includes both SUBSAFE and non-SUBSAFE level items, with tasks assigned both within the continental U.S. (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS) to support the operational Submarine Force. These contingent positions (pending contract award) are based in various locations: Norfolk, VA; Kings Bay, GA; Groton, CT; Portsmouth, NH; San Diego, CA; Bangor, WA; and Santa Rita, Guam.

Required Clearance

• Must be a US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform various (Close Out, INSURV, Post Refit, Depot Availability In-Progress and Completion, etc. ) inspections and oversight of systems at the ISEA Representative On-Site location.
• Systems include high data rate antenna, communications antenna, imaging/periscopes, universal modular masts, radar/navigation, snorkel induction, electronic support measure mast, sail closure doors, towed buoy, and general submarine sail HM&E systems.
• Update technical databases with issues identified in above inspections and provide repair recommendations to maintenance facilities.
• Review and validate technical documentation.
• Validate system configurations and document discrepancies.
• Perform liaison support during sail zone installations as requested.
• Represent the local TYCOM/Squadron on technical issues related to the sail zone and sail HM&E systems on the waterfront.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned or required as business needs dictate.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

• High School diploma
• At least five (5) years of prior military, DoD, or related experience in Submarine HM&E systems maintenance.
• The experience should include Five (5) years' experience working as a group leader with Maintenance Activities, Shipyards, or other government contracted maintenance agencies.
• Two (2) of the Five Years should include experience in inspection, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of Sail and/or Towed Antenna systems onboard U.S. Navy submarines.

Physical Demands and Expectations

• Regular physical activity includes walking, climbing stairs, working upon staging at various heights, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
• Ability to speak, read, hear, and write without assistance, including use of phone, computers and other office equipment.
