Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat's D460QP Project Engineering team at Quonset Point seeks engineers to support VIRGINIA Class construction, focusing on the VIRGINIA Payload Module (VPM). You will provide on-site engineering support and help manage work package issues in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering is required.
• 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with design, development, construction, or operation of submarine systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering support for VIRGINIA Class products at Quonset Point.
• Establish a proactive daily presence in production areas and liaise with Operations customers.
• Assist with work package issues, assess build status relative to schedule.
• Support construction readiness, RAMP and hotwash efforts, and coordinate engineering support for schedule-critical evolutions.
