Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering.
• Ability to maintain a DoW Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
• Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines.
• Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and support fabrication of pressurized mechanical systems for hydraulics, pneumatics, and seawater for underwater launchers.
• Support Technical Data Packages with free body diagrams, stress calculations, and FEA in ANSYS to prove design meets requirements.
• Create 3D CAD parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.
• Select design materials based on stress calculations and specs.
• Conduct QA reviews of drawings and TDPs.
• Interface with customers and government sponsors.
• Support testing of designs onboard submarines and in facilities with some foreign travel.
