Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mechanical / Design Engineer to support the US Navy's hull treatments program onsite in West Bethesda, MD. You will perform hands-on engineering, design prototype articles and molds using SolidWorks, and assist in fabrication.

Qualifications

• BS in an Engineering field with GPA 3.0+ preferred and 5+ years experience, or 3+ years with MS/MA.
• Significant SolidWorks design experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on tool use through professional or hobby experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on engineering in support of the US Navy's submarine force.
• Use SolidWorks to design prototype articles and molds.
• Fabricate and/or assist in fabrication of prototype articles and molds.
• Lead teams of engineers and technicians in shipyard installation, training, and testing.
• Travel to public shipyards and other locations for two-week periods.
