Job summary

Arcfield in the United States is seeking an experienced electronics and systems engineer to troubleshoot submarine EW systems, including BLQ-10, across TI14–TI20 baselines. You will diagnose issues in Linux-based environments and collaborate with engineering, integration, and logistics teams to ensure robust performance.

The role requires travel for CONUS/OCONUS fleet support, on-site and remote troubleshooting, and documenting upgrades and procedures.

Qualifications

• BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
• Hands‑on experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting submarine EW systems
• Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with US Navy installation procedures, TEMPALTs, and SOVT processes
• Ability to design, integrate, and manage complex system architectures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Willingness to travel for CONUS and OCONUS fleet support

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and investigate EW system issues onboard submarines, focusing on BLQ-10 and other critical EW systems
• Apply TI14–TI20 baselines, performing diagnostics across baselines and platforms
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting in Linux-based operating systems and custom EW software environments
• Support technology transitions: planning, execution, and documentation for new systems and TEMPALTs/SOVTs
• Design, integrate, and manage complex systems through lifecycle phases with upgrade paths
• Develop and update testing and troubleshooting procedures using docs, guidelines, and fleet experience
• Oversee and mentor team members during troubleshooting and repair operations
• Perform cross-platform and cross-subsystem support tasks across projects
• Deliver CONUS and OCONUS fleet support with on-site and remote troubleshooting and repairs
• Liaise with engineering, integration, and logistics teams to address performance and reliability issues
