Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and integrate electronics hardware for payload handling on submarine programs. You will prototype hardware in a lab, translate system requirements into hardware specs, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated solutions for shipboard testing and integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering.
0–5 years of post‑graduate engineering experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate electronics hardware, including procurement and manufacturing support.
Prototype new hardware designs in a laboratory environment.
Decompose system requirements into hardware requirements.
Collaborate with multi‑discipline engineering teams on integrated solutions.
Define and manage system and component interfaces.
Integrate hardware and software components and perform testing.
Support system integration, validation, verification, troubleshooting, and shipboard test activities.
Manage vendor tasks and contribute to project management efforts.
Occasional travel.
