Job summary

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop fixes and document changes. The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering and 1–2 years of Navy or Navy contractor experience with AC&R systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with Navy logistics programs and submarine systems is required.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems in naval environments.
• Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings and NAVSEA specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college/university is required.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop solutions to obsolescence issues for Navy AC Plant and Refrigeration systems on submarines.
• Support design, modeling, analysis, and testing of AC&R systems and components.
• Develop Ship Change Documents (SCD) and Ship Alterations for Fleet input.
• Provide lifecycle support for submarine AC&R equipment including testing, installation, logistics, and obsolescence.
• Perform equipment qualification testing and witness tests; review reports and waiver/deviation docs.
• Execute pressure tests and SOVT tests shipboard.
• Support submarine modernization programs with new technologies and control systems.
