Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Engineer II (Submarine AC&R) to support critical naval projects, including testing, obsolescence support, and installation and maintenance of Navy AC&R systems aboard submarines.

You will collaborate with design, testing, and logistics teams, develop technical documentation, and contribute to life-cycle management, with up to 25% travel and eligibility for a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 1–2 years of professional engineering experience working for the Navy or Navy contractor supporting Submarines, focusing on Navy AC&R systems.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop solutions to obsolescence issues for Navy AC Plant, Refrigeration Systems, and related equipment on Navy Submarines.
• Support design, modeling, analysis, and testing of all AC&R systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.
• Develop Ship Change Documents (SCD) and Ship Alterations to input technical improvements to existing Submarine AC&R systems into the Fleet.
• Provide life-cycle support for Submarine AC&R equipment including design, installation, testing, logistics, and obsolescence.
• Provide test facility support to build/refresh and test AC&R systems and equipment.
• Perform equipment qualification testing (EQT), update/test procedures, witness tests, and review reports and waivers.
