Job summary
ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, seeks a Design Specialist to support CPS Energy subdivision electric distribution projects in and around the San Antonio area. You will design overhead and underground distribution facilities for residential and commercial developments, coordinating with developers, municipalities, and internal teams.
Responsibilities include creating construction-ready designs using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS, ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, CPS Energy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electric utility distribution design.
- Experience supporting residential subdivision, commercial development, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems and CPS Energy standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate electric distribution designs for subdivisions.
- Design overhead and underground distribution facilities (primary/secondary, conduit, transformers, pole lines).
- Develop construction-ready design packages using GIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS tools.
- Review plats, civil plans, load requirements, and constraints to develop solutions.
- Coordinate with CPS Energy, developers, municipalities, permitting agencies, and engineers.
- Conduct field visits to validate design requirements and assess constructability.
