Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator with at least 1 year of experience to support subcontracting processes and the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. The role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and requires strong communication and negotiation skills.

This position emphasizes accuracy, relationship management, and the ability to operate in a high-paced environment, with coordination across multiple departments to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a business environment.
• Experience in subcontract-related fields like Contract Administration or Purchasing preferred but not required.
• Familiar with material and service sourcing activities such as quoting, analyzing, negotiating, reporting, and supplier rationalization.

Responsibilities

• Prepares requests for quote packages, conducts bidders' conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract pricing, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards (with supervision), and administers resulting subcontracts
• Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts
• Issuing purchase orders
• Following up with requesters and end users regarding purchase orders
• Assisting with supplier metrics and advising suppliers of their performance
• Reviewing statements of work material specifications, service contracts, and terms and conditions when required
• Acting as liaison and point of contact with the supplier on formal communications and deliverables
• Acting as liaison and point of contact for coordination and communication with all departments on subcontract related issues

We are seeking a dedicated Subcontracts Administrator with at least 1 year experience in a business environment . The candidate will support the subcontracting process and the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.

• Familiar with material and service sourcing activities such as quoting, analyzing, negotiating, reporting, and supplier rationalization

• Basic knowledge of procurement practices in a Government Contracting environment
