Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a senior subcontract manager to lead medium to large complex subcontracts on major projects. You will develop strategies, direct RFP efforts, negotiate awards and oversee post-award commercial management with a focus on field coordination and safe, on-time execution.

Your role requires10+ years in industrial construction subcontracting, strong leadership, and the ability to manage large teams and budgets on site. This is a demanding, hands-on role on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 10 years’ industrial construction subcontract management of +$100M and/or +350 craft or subcontractors and prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Embody the Zachry culture.
• Develops Subcontracting Strategy and RFP Packages for medium complex subcontracts, directs the RFP efforts, makes recommendation for award and negotiates the contract.
• Post-Award commercial management for the portfolio of complex services and subcontract Agreements assigned to self or team.
• Oversee the execution of field subcontracts to ensure the work is within scope and commercial requirements including safe execution, quality goals, and timely completion.
• Analyze project data to meet commercial requirements and project goals.
• Manage cost to ensure adherence to project budgets and forecasts.
• Accountable for records management for all assigned Agreements; ensure auditable documents.
• Negotiate change orders and back charges aligned with subcontract terms.
• Ensure appropriate approvals before commitments; turnover and closeout of contracts.
