Job summary

Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking a Subcontracts Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams and manage all aspects of subcontract performance across programs. You will guide cost, schedule, and technical milestones while ensuring compliance with contract requirements and LM policies.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in subcontracting, EVM experience, and a US citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

  • Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
  • Directs all phases of the subcontract lifecycle from business case to closeout.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to ensure on-time subcontract delivery and performance.

In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:
  • Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
  • Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system.
  • Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management.
  • Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
  • Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
  • Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
  • Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.
Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent experience / education
  • 5 years of Subcontracts Program Management, Program Management, Project Engineering, or Project Management Experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience
  • Customer Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions
  • Team leadership experience
  • Familiarity with acquisition and proposal process
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Desired Skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

  • Proficiency with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR) guidelines
  • Proficiency with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
  • Development and production program experience
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) experience
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers
  • Experience managing multiple contract types
  • Well organized, excellent communicator and team builder
  • Able to work closely with supplier leadership teams to drive performance and accountability
  • Excellent computer skills to develop presentations and utilize systems to maximize work output
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
