Job summary

Ursus, Inc. in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator III to own the cradle-to-grave procurement process for NPI efforts in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

This onsite contract role partners with IPTs to ensure timely, compliant delivery of hardware, components, and services. You will source, quote, negotiate, and close subcontracts, track open orders and delivery schedules, and maintain strong supplier relationships while pursuing continuous improvement in procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• Experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement and working in IPT environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM and introduce new components and suppliers into the supply base.
• Execute purchasing for hardware, components, materials, and services to meet program needs.
• Follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk.
• Serve as an embedded member of cross-functional IPTs, driving procurement strategy aligned to program objectives.
• Develop supplier relationships, manage performance, escalations, and corrective actions as needed.
• Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within procurement processes.

PAY RANGE: $52 - $78/hr.

About the Role

The Client is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator III to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in support of New Product Integration. In this contract role, you will own the full procurement lifecycle—from sourcing through delivery—while partnering closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure materials, components, and services are delivered on time and to specification. This is a hands‑on purchasing role requiring strong follow‑up, tracking discipline, and aerospace industry expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement.
• Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams (IPT environment).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable export control regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting New Product Integration (NPI) or new product introduction within an SCM organization.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
• Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting/tracking tools.
• Prior experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth aerospace or manufacturing environment
