Responsibilities

• Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM, ensuring new components and suppliers are integrated into the supply base.
• Execute purchasing for hardware, components, materials, and services for program needs.
• Proactively track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk.
• Represent SCM as embedded IPT member and drive procurement strategy.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, manage performance and escalations.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance.
• Maintain records and reporting throughout procurement lifecycle.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Position Summary

• TheSubcontract Administrator IIIwill join the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in support of New Product Integration.
• In this contract role, you will own the full procurement lifecycle-from sourcing through delivery-while partnering closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure materials, components, and services are delivered on time and to specification.
• This is a hands-on purchasing role requiring strong follow-up, tracking discipline, and aerospace industry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM, ensuring new components and suppliers are successfully introduced into the supply base.
• Execute purchasing activities for hardware, components, materials, and services in support of program needs.
• Proactively follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk and prevent shortages.
• Serve as an embedded member of cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), representing SCM and driving procurement strategy aligned to program objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance, escalations, and corrective actions as needed.
• Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement process.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement.
• Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams (IPT environment).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable export control regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting New Product Integration (NPI) or new product introduction within an SCM organization.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
• Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting/tracking tools.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth aerospace or manufacturing environment.
