Job summary

Tom Wood Subaru in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Subaru Technician to join our high-volume service team. You’ll perform inspections, diagnose, and repair Subaru mechanical and electrical systems, while maintaining manufacturer standards and documentation.

We offer a competitive flat-rate pay plan with earnings up to $49/hour, plus medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off, training opportunities, ASE support, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Subaru technician or strong import dealership experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Subaru Select Monitor (SSM) preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus; we’ll help you maintain them.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Diagnose and repair Subaru mechanical and electrical systems.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining manufacturer standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and major engine repairs.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation.
• Communicate repair recommendations with service advisors.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Stay current on Subaru technology, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
