Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, NC, seeks a Group Lead for the Electrical Sub-Assembly Department to coordinate daily tasks and optimize production progress.

You will guide a small team, implement process improvements, ensure safety, and collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality to maintain dimensional accuracy and high-quality outputs. This role requires prior team leadership and familiarity with SAP/ERP systems; shift is Mon-Thu, 4:00pm–2:30am.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Prior Siemens Mobility sub-assembly experience.
• Experience prototyping new assemblies.
• Experience using SAP or ERP systems to access drawings and BOMs.

Position Overview:

As a Group Lead in our Electrical Sub-Assembly Department, you will be responsible for coordinating daily tasks and work assignments for team members. You will closely monitor manufacturing progress and provide support to your assigned employees to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Shift:

Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am

What your day will look like:

• Help Production supervisor define key production work steps, sequences, and durations and setting up work scope per station or per cell basis.
• Assist preparing Standardized work instructions
• Coordinating work schedules with operational goals
• Implementing manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes
• Providing critical process control guidance to production, maintenance, and quality control to improve the dimensional accuracy and overall quality of our products.
• Ensuring all safety measure are followed.
• Escalate issues to manager or appropriate support group.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• Prior experience leading a team
• Prior Siemens Mobility sub-assembly experience
• Experience prototyping new assemblies.
• You’ve used SAP or ERP similar software to look up the information like drawings & BOM.

Physical Demands:

• Candidates should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment when required
• Job duties may require standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using hands to handle objects or tools
• Frequent verbal communication is necessary; occasional tasks may involve detecting odors
• Ability to lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds is requiredSpecific vision abilities include:

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $20.70/hr - $25.25/hr, plus an additional 10% for shift differential. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
