Job summary

SmartStyle Hair Salon Smart Hair, LLC in Rapid City is seeking a stylist-in-training for a temporary 90-day program. You’ll learn the business while delivering exceptional customer service and completing Cosmetology School training to obtain your state license.

We provide product discounts, medical/dental/vision/life coverage, tools and products (except cutting tools), and paid vacation and holidays. Promotion to stylist may be possible after licensure based on performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited cosmetology school and obtain license within 90 days.
• Strong judgement and time management.
• Good communication with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Tech-savvy to use POS and enter data.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to grow the business and control expenses by observing other stylists and managers.
• Greet customers and answer the phone; your smile is your logo.
• Keep the salon clean and follow safety standards.
• Promotion to stylist may be possible after licensure, contingent on performance.
