Job summary

SmartStyle Hair Salon, LLC in Spearfish, SD is seeking a Stylist in Training for a 90-day program. You’ll learn the business while delivering excellent customer service and complete your Cosmetology School training to obtain licensure.

As a trainee you’ll be provided with product and service discounts, health benefits, and paid vacation days while you grow your skills. Promotion to stylist is possible after licensure, but not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the license within 90 days.
• Ability to communicate well with customers, coworkers and management.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Tech savvy to use point-of-sale systems and enter data.

Responsibilities

• Learn the ins and outs of growing the business and controlling expenses by observing stylists and managers.
• Greet customers and answer the phone; your smile is your logo.
• Keep the salon clean and follow safety standards.
• Assist in operational tasks and support promotional opportunities as licensure progresses.
