STYLIST IN TRAINING

WHAT WE OFFER

As a stylist-in-training in this temporary 90-day position, we’re here to help you learn the business while delivering exceptional customer service across all channels of communication.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Learn how to grow the business and control expenses by observing other stylists and managers.
• Greet customers and answer the phone with a friendly smile—your logo.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and follow safety standards, recognizing that some tasks may be less glamorous but are necessary.

As a stylist-in-training, you may be eligible for promotion to a stylist position once licensed. Promotion is not automatic; you must earn it.

HOW TO GET PROMOTED TO A STYLIST

To be considered, you must:

1. Possess a valid license in your state of employment.
2. Be able to perform duties permitted by your license, including cutting, styling, coloring, waxing treatments, washing, and perming hair, with or without accommodations.
3. Demonstrate adherence to Regis values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain necessary licenses within or before 90 days of hire.
• Exhibit good judgment and time management skills, and desire to work in a dynamic salon environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Be tech-savvy to use point-of-sale systems and enter data.
• Have a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly; occasionally lift 10-25 lbs. for unloading shipments.
• Be on your feet most of the day.
• Read, write, and perform basic math.
• Be available for mandatory meetings and training, including overnight travel.
