Job summary

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa is seeking a Stylist for Tamaya Mist Spa. You will deliver hair, nail, and esthetic services in a culturally inspired, tranquil setting. Excellence in guest care and adherence to Hyatt standards are essential.

Applicants should hold the NM Cosmetology License and have experience in hair, nails, bridal styling, and spa etiquette. Weekend availability and flexible shifts are expected, with a supportive team and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license in good standing with NM Board.
• Experience in hair, nails, and bridal styling preferred.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Overview

Tamaya Mist Spa & Salon is named for the gentle morning mist that drifts over the cottonwoods and the Rio Grande. Rooted in the Tamayame’s tradition of hospitality and deep connection to the land,

the spa offers guests a serene retreat where they can unwind, recharge, and rediscover balance and well being.

As a Stylist, you will play a key role in delivering that experience. You’ll provide exceptional salon services in a peaceful, culturally inspired environment that blends natural elements, Pueblo tradition, and world class Hyatt care.

Key Responsibilities

• Haircutting & styling for men and women, including precision cuts, blowouts, and finishing
• Color services including single-process, highlights, lowlights, toning, and corrective color
• Bridal styling for brides and bridal parties, including updos, formal styles, and makeup application.
• Nail services including manicures, pedicures, polish application, and nail care
• Provide esthetician services, as needed
• Create a warm, welcoming, and culturally respectful environment for every guest
• Maintain a clean, organized, and serene salon space that reflects the spa’s natural, calming aesthetic
• Recommend products and services to enhance the guest’s wellness journey
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and operational standards in accordance with state regulations and Hyatt policies
• Uphold Hyatt’s purpose of care through attentive, personalized, and heartfelt guest interactions

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico Cosmetology License (must be in good standing with the NM Board of Cosmetology)
• Professional experience in hair services, nail care, and bridal styling preferred
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
