Job summary

ArchCare is seeking a part-time hair stylist to provide haircutting, coloring, and styling services at our New York location. You will help clients choose flattering looks, perform precise techniques, and maintain a welcoming, hygienic station.

The role includes upselling services and building lasting client relationships. Qualified candidates hold a NY cosmetology license, a high school diploma, and ideally 1 year of geriatric experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of accredited beautician program.
• Active New York cosmetology license required.
• One year of geriatric setting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Helps clients decide their ideal haircut and hairstyle.
• Performs haircutting techniques including trims, layers, and texturizing.
• Performs haircoloring methods such as highlights, ombre and balayage.
• Styles hair including blowouts, curls, braids, ponytails and updos.
• Upsells clients on products and services.
• Develops ongoing relationships with clients.
• Keeps a clean station and sanitizes all tools.
• Follows salon policies and procedures.
