Job summary

All Dolled Up Salon is seeking a Cosmetologist Hair Stylist to consult with clients, tailor services to preferences, and deliver polished results in hair styling, coloring, and care. The role emphasizes thoughtful consultations and consistent service to help clients feel confident in their personal care choices. A SIGN ON BONUS!!!

You will also work with salon software, including MINDBODY, and contribute to upselling, product recommendations, and store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology training and license/certification as required by local regulations.
• Experience in hair styling, coloring, care, and customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand and explain recommendations.
• Familiarity with salon software; MINDBODY experience is a plus.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients, explain service options, and communicate clearly throughout each appointment.
• Provide hair styling, hair coloring, and hair care services; apply color theory to guide shade selection.
• Perform additional services as qualified, such as hair extensions, hair threading, makeup application, nail care, and barbering, including straight-razor work.
• Maintain clean tools and work areas by following sanitation practices.
• Support salon operations through salon software, including MINDBODY where used; assist with retail math, product recommendations, upselling, store management, and mentoring as assigned.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology training and any license or certification required for the services performed under applicable local regulations.
• Experience working in the beauty industry, with practical skills in hair styling, hair coloring, hair care, and customer service.
• Strong communication skills and client communication skills, with the ability to understand preferences and explain recommendations.
• Familiarity with salon software is useful; MINDBODY experience is a plus.
• Additional experience in hair extensions, straight-razor work, barbering, hair threading, makeup application, nail care, sanitation, mentoring, store management, retail math, or upselling is valued; these skills are preferred, not required.
