Job summary

Target is seeking a Style Consultant to join our store team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help guests with product knowledge, maintain visual standards, and support various guest services to ensure a welcoming shopping experience.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, teamwork, flexibility for a wide schedule (nights, weekends, holidays), and adherence to safety and store policies. Training will cover merchandising, signing, and customer service best practices.

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest ready floor by executing visual standards and signing
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory to assist guests
• Sort freight, push freight to the salesfloor, and locate merchandise in the backroom
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales
• Maintain product availability with priority fills and merchandising to capacity
• Maintain backroom organization and replenishment
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
• Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome and help guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise between fitting room and salesfloor
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Follow safety policies and report hazards
• Assist guest services such as back-up cashier, OPU and Drive-up with compliance with laws
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests
• Engage with guests to solve their needs
• Thank guests for shopping at Target
• All other duties based on business needs
