Job summary

Talbots in Wheaton, IL seeks an enthusiastic retail associate to deliver outstanding customer service, build client relationships, and support store operations. You will apply fashion knowledge to assemble outfits, promote products, and contribute to team sales goals.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and comfort with POS/iPad systems; flexible availability including evenings and weekends is preferred.

• Demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise and possess a love of fashion.
• Strong ambition and passion for achieving goals, both individually and as a team member.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and integrity.
• Technological competency to navigate a computer/iPad/handheld system.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work cooperatively in a diverse environment.
• Open availability of 15–20 hours per week; flexible including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience that promotes the product and brand.
• Assist management to build store business and relationships with clients.
• Service multiple customers, multitask, and handle projects.
• Stay informed on fashion trends and arrivals; know fit, color, and styles.
• Use product knowledge to create outfits and suggest matching items.
• Aim to meet sales and service metrics including clientelling and appointments.
