Job summary

Tacit in San Francisco/San Jose seeks a Data Collection Technician with a strong customer service and operations background to welcome study participants and ensure a positive experience from start to finish.

You will handle onboarding, session setup and monitoring, real-time issue resolution, and meticulous documentation while collaborating with the data collection team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Schedule flexibility required: Available for early morning and evening shifts, and weekend work.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills; enjoy working with people.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable staying alert and responsive during long shifts.
• Technically proficient and quick to learn new systems.
• Familiarity with Notion, Airtable, MS Office & Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Greet, onboard, and guide study participants with patience and professionalism.
• Manage session logistics including setup, monitoring, and closeout with meticulous attention to detail.
• Serve as the main point of contact for participants, answering questions and troubleshooting in real-time.
• Document sessions thoroughly using digital tools following established protocols.
• Collaborate daily with the data collection team to ensure seamless workflows and flag issues.
• Work full-time at the San Francisco or San Jose location.
