Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Study Director & Lead Weed Scientist to join the IR-4 Project. The role leads GLP residue studies, protocol development, and data package preparation, coordinating across a national network of scientists and labs.

The ideal candidate has an MS with extensive weed science experience or a PhD with substantial regulatory research background, plus excellent communication and leadership skills. On-site role with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field and greenhouse weed science research programs.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple studies and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for IR-4 residue studies under GLP regulations.
• Develop approximately 5 national residue study protocols annually.
• Direct and manage multiple concurrent IR-4 residue studies across locations.
• Review study reports for scientific integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Lead data package development and regulatory submissions.
