Job summary

North Carolina State University’s IR-4 Project in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Study Director and Lead Weed Scientist to oversee residue studies, data packages, and regulatory submissions. This on-site role requires coordinating national studies, ensuring GLP compliance, and collaborating with registrant companies and laboratories.

You will guide protocol development, data interpretation, and outreach with stakeholders, travel 6-10 times per year, and contribute to IR-4’s mission to support

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree required; PhD preferred for advanced research leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for IR-4 residue studies conducted across North America in compliance with GLP.
• Develop approximately 5 national residue study protocols annually with registrant companies and researchers.
• Direct and manage approximately 30 concurrent studies across locations and phases.
• Prepare regulatory data packages and submission-ready reports.
• Lead discussions with industry partners and stakeholders on weed management strategies.

Education
