Job summary

Quinnipiac University is seeking a part-time student worker to support the Office of Global Engagement. You will greet and assist students during office visits and help promote engagement events across campus.

You will also assist staff with information sessions, fairs, and open houses, and guide students through study abroad options and applications. Flexibility in schedule is required, with hours around 12–15 per week.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
• Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Quinnipiac-related technologies (MyQ, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with Canva.
• Preference for prior participation in a Quinnipiac study abroad program.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and contact students that either have office hour appointments or stop the Office of Global Engagement.
• Help to promote Office of Global Engagement events by making flyers or posting on social media.
• Assist office staff with information sessions and fairs, open houses and other University events to promote global engagement.
• Assist and advise students on study abroad options (e.g. how to navigate the study abroad portal and how to apply for programs).
• Other study abroad-related projects as assigned.
