Job summary

Colorado School of Mines seeks an Education Abroad Advisor to manage student services supporting international mobility. You’ll focus on risk minimization while coordinating advising, applications, and program options for Mines-sponsored study abroad and exchanges.

You will lead Terra Dotta operations, supervising the Study Abroad Peer Advisors and collaborating with the Office of Global Education to advance safety, health, and program quality on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of international or higher education experience.
• 1+ year experience with Terra Dotta or similar student management system.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience developing orientation programs and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Advise outbound students on travel, risk, course options and approvals.
• Oversee study abroad applications, academics, risk and health considerations.
• Manage and market departmental cohort programs and liaise with partner universities.
• Provide pre-departure and reentry orientations for students traveling abroad.
• Lead Terra Dotta administration, reports, and staff training.
• Hire, train, and supervise Study Abroad Peer Advisors.
• Support Education Abroad projects, events, and collaborations.
