Colorado School of Mines invites applications for an Education Abroad Advisor on the Golden, CO campus. This role guides outbound student mobility, coordinates risk management, and supports faculty-led programs while supervising the Study Abroad Peer Advisors.

The position integrates cross-campus collaboration with ISSS, Registrar, and Financial Aid to enable safe, compliant travel. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years international education experience, and Terra Dotta

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years relevant international or higher education experience.
• 1+ year Terra Dotta experience.
• Strong understanding of international risk, health, safety, and visa processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience developing and leading orientation programs and workshops.
• Advanced organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of education abroad best practices.

Responsibilities

• Advising and managing all aspects of study abroad for Mines-sponsored programs, exchange and independent travel.
• Market and manage departmental cohort programs; liaise with partner universities.
• Oversee international risk, health, and safety processes; provide pre-departure and re-entry orientations.
• Manage travel registration and compliance for short-term international travel.
• Lead Terra Dotta management tasks: brochures, updates, reports, and training.
• Collaborate with Registrar, Financial Aid, and departments to manage course transfer and billing.
• Develop and implement marketing and outreach for study abroad opportunities.
• Maintain Education Abroad website and collaborate on faculty-led programming.
