Job summary

NYU in New York is seeking a study away admissions coordinator to support processing of applications, notifications, and enrollment requirements. You will review applications and render admissions decisions while coordinating with NYU offices to ensure smooth enrollment.

You will counsel students and families, leverage data to inform decisions, and collaborate with Global Programs Outreach, Enrollment, and Student Support groups to meet diverse onboarding needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years relevant experience or combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to support, advocate for and counsel students.
• Ability to manage details independently and work within predetermined timelines.
• Ability to navigate complex organizations to achieve outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with diverse populations and stakeholders.
• Ability to utilize data to inform decisions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and their families, alumni, advisors, faculty, and administrators.
• Knowledge of student information system software, preferably PeopleSoft (preferred).
• Knowledge of CRM software, preferably Slate Technolutions (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support study away application processing, decision notifications, and enrollment requirements and communications.
• Provide study away admissions and enrollment support.
• Review and evaluate study away applications.
• Render admission decisions.
• Refer confirmed candidates to appropriate NYU offices.
• Review applications to achieve University, geographic, and departmental enrollment goals.
• Take appropriate actions to alleviate student problems.
• Contribute to Global Programs Outreach, Enrollment, and Student Support groups.
