Job summary

VASA Fitness is opening a brand-new studio in Ypsilanti, MI, and we’re building the team now. Training begins in January.

You’ll travel to another market for training at an established club, learn the role, and bring that experience back to launch your new location. The STUDIO Team Lead (STL) leads by example, mentoring your team of STUDIO Coaches to keep sessions safe, effective, and aligned with VASA standards.

Qualifications

• National Group Fitness Certification or NCCA-accredited Personal Training Certification required.
• Yoga credential a plus.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• 3+ years of experience teaching group fitness, small group training, or boutique fitness classes (experience in specialty studios preferred).
• Background in coaching, training, or leading teams in fitness or other industries.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team of STUDIO Coaches who embody VASA's values.
• Building class schedules that are on-trend, effective, and convenient for members.
• Driving membership growth and retention by delivering consistent, results-oriented classes.
• Meeting and exceeding monthly STUDIO sales and attendance goals.
• Creating a community within STUDIO that's supportive, energetic, and welcoming to all fitness levels.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and motivating environments that over-deliver on member value.
• Coaching and developing your team through regular feedback, training, and recognition.
