Job summary

Millersville University is seeking a Recording Studio Technician for the Tell School of Music to manage technical operations of the recording studios. You will set up, operate, and maintain recording equipment, and assist faculty and students in using studio resources to achieve high-quality sound production.

The role requires working nights and weekends and completion of three clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprints).

Qualifications

• Must be a music major and available for nights and weekends.
• Must complete three required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

• Operate recording equipment during sessions, including concerts and student recitals.
• Mix and master audio tracks to professional standards.
• Set up and breakdown audio equipment for sessions; maintain and troubleshoot equipment, software, and hardware.
• Provide guidance and training to students and faculty on studio operation.
• Coordinate recording projects with deadlines and keep records organized.
• Monitor audio quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
