Job summary

Oberlin College Development is seeking Student Recording Engineers to record student, guest, and faculty recitals, run sound reinforcement for jazz recitals, assist with large recording sessions, and operate cameras for live streaming of concerts. Must be responsible, motivated, punctual, and attentive to detail; be able to lift 50 lbs; and work evenings and weekends based on the concert schedule.

Current Oberlin students only (freshmen welcome); hours vary with the term and concert schedule,

Qualifications

• Must have a music background with strong technical and computer skills.
• Audio engineering experience is an asset.
• Must be able to work evenings/weekends; attend weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 12:30pm.
• Current Oberlin students only; freshmen welcome.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down audio equipment.
• Provide recording, sound reinforcement, and video streaming services for concerts/events.
• Document and edit recordings.
• Assist Director and Assistant Director with other duties as needed.
