Job summary

Heyday Skincare in Los Angeles is seeking a Studio Manager to lead a dynamic shop team and drive the success of our client experience. You will set the tone for hospitality, coach staff, and ensure smooth daily operations.

You’ll oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and inventory, while collaborating with leadership on store goals and local partnerships. A track record in P&L management, strong communication, and a passion for skincare are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail or service team with P&L oversight.
• Strong focus on client hospitality and service excellence.
• Proven ability to recruit, onboard and develop hourly staff.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and basic payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and lead a team of 25+ to achieve targets and service standards.
• Deliver high-level service and hospitality to clients and staff.
• Recruit, onboard, and train employees; foster growth and accountability.
• Collaborate with leadership on recruitment, training, and events.
• Supervise payroll submissions and ensure timely processing.
• Manage inventory and implement loss-prevention measures.
• Partner with Marketing for local client acquisition and retention.

About the Role:

As the Studio Manager, you will lead a dynamic team to ensure the success of our shop. Your role involves creating an environment poised for success. You empower every team member with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to deliver an exceptional Heyday experience to clients who walk through your doors.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and nurture a team of over 25, fostering a culture of responsibility and achievement.


• Deliver high-level service and hospitality to clients, both internal and external.


• Recruit, onboard, develop, and train employees.


• Collaborate with leadership to strategize Skin Therapist recruitment, training, onboarding, and Friends & Family events.


• Supervise and execute timely and accurate Payroll submissions.


• Inventory management while implementing comprehensive loss prevention measures.


• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create new client acquisition and retention strategies through local grassroots marketing initiatives and business partnerships.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience managing a P&L and exceeding financial performance targets in the health & wellness, retail, and/or hospitality sectors.


• A profound respect for and comprehension of the factors driving client experiences and hospitality.


• A proven track record of managing and collaborating with hourly workers, fostering a high-performance team.


• Acute attention to detail and a passion for adhering to standard operating procedures.


• Some background in beauty or spa services is an advantage.


• Fundamental knowledge of employment law, policies, processes, and programs.


• Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel/Google Sheets.


• Flexibility to travel overnight and/or between Heyday locations.


• Availability to work weekends, opening shifts, and closing shifts.
