Job summary

LJA Land Development is seeking a Studio Lead - PLA to direct architectural execution across built form, landscape, and experience for diverse environments. You will lead projects from concept through documentation and administration, coordinating with civil, landscape, and planning teams while guiding multiple efforts to successful delivery.

The role requires licensed architecture credentials, strong leadership, and a design‑driven mindset to shape memorable, functional spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience leading architectural projects from concept to construction documentation.
• Strong project management and multi‑project coordination.
• Ability to translate conceptual design ideas into buildable, code‑compliant solutions.
• Experience coordinating with civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning teams.
• Strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Organized, adaptable, collaborative, and able to contribute across design, documentation, and coordination.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Translating conceptual vision into buildable, code‑compliant design solutions across a variety of project types.
• Leading architectural project development from concept through construction documentation and construction administration.
• Collaborating with civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning teams for integrated delivery.
• Coordinating and managing multiple projects across varying scales (parks, centers, plazas).
• Serving as the primary architectural contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Managing project budgets, schedules, production efforts, and team coordination.
• Communicating proactively to support high‑quality outcomes and long‑term client relationships.
