Job summary

SLT is seeking a dynamic Studio Manager to lead our Back Bay studio in Boston, inspire the team, drive client acquisition and retention, and help grow SLT's presence in the Boston market.

Reporting to the COO, you will oversee operations, serve as lead instructor, recruit and develop staff, manage scheduling, partnerships, and events, and ensure exceptional hospitality and client experience.

Qualifications

• Management experience, preferably in the fitness, wellness or retail industry a plus.
• Has an established local fitness network & previous group fitness experience.
• Self-starter with strong managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think and react quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills are a must.
• Ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Instruction & Instructor Team Support: Maintain a class quota of up to 15 classes instructed per week, with flexibility to exceed as needed; mentor newer instructors and model SLT standards.
• Strategic Community Growth: Identify local fitness leaders and partners; recruit top instructor talent; build influencer relationships; plan joint events and campaigns.
• Utilization & Revenue Growth: Drive client acquisition and retention through personalized experiences; develop new pipelines via partnerships and events; support marketing campaigns and in-studio communications.
• Schedule Optimization: Continuously optimize the schedule; manage instructor substitutions with T&D; analyze class performance to improve allocations and offerings.
• Studio Operations & Team Leadership: Lead front desk team; monitor instructor operations; coordinate communication between marketing, operations, and instructors; ensure facilities upkeep and guest experience.
• Customer Service & Client Management: Handle inquiries, resolve issues, and foster loyalty.
