Job summary

WS Development is seeking a Designer for the Studio Team to provide in-house design support across feasibility, planning, design and construction for a range of retail and mixed-use developments. The Designer will collaborate with Development, Construction, Leasing and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class spaces.

The ideal candidate has a passion for design, a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, 3–6 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Revit.

Qualifications

• Strong design aesthetics and ability to develop design concepts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working with architects, engineers, lighting and landscape designers.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team on projects from feasibility to construction.
• Support internal design architecture and master planning needs.
• Conduct design reviews of documentation for architecture, signage, interiors.
• Create documentation for Leasing teams and tenant negotiations.
• Develop brand standards and tenant design manuals.
• Collaborate with junior staff to meet deadlines.
• Maintain daily design project records and assist with related tasks.
