Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Specialist, Studio Communications to tell behind-the-scenes stories of our productions across the United States. The role partners with Studio Management, Content Communications, Publicity, Production, and Talent Development to highlight community impact and the people behind the scenes.

The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate or agency settings focused on corporate communications/public affairs.
• Established media relationships across traditional, trade and consumer outlets.
• Experience handling a high volume of complex projects across multiple teams.
• Curious self-starter with pulse on culture-defining conversations and Netflix at the forefront.
• Strong knowledge of press, social platforms and entertainment trends.
• Clear and concise communication with strong written and verbal skills.
• Meticulous organizational skills and good judgment of brand risk.
• Have a unique perspective and voice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications strategies, messaging and plans for Netflix studios across the US.
• Coordinate day-to-day internal alignment with cross-functional teams (Studio Management, Content Communications, Publicity, Production, Talent Development).
• Draft communications plans, announcements, briefing materials and messaging documents.
• Track, vet, and respond to media requests; nurture media contacts.
• Identify story angles, craft pitches, and secure stories around Netflix's consumer products and experiences.
• Monitor press coverage and circulate competitive research.
