We are looking for a polished, highly organized, and naturally hospitable Studio Assistant to be the first point of contact for our clients and help create the elevated experience that defines JK Diamond Co.

Founded in 2015, JK Diamond Co. is a private jeweler specializing in custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry. Our Santa Monica studio is a professional, intimate environment where attention to detail, presentation, and exceptional service matter.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in luxury hospitality, boutique retail, high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, or as an executive assistant who understands the importance of anticipating needs, maintaining a beautiful environment, and making people feel genuinely taken care of.

Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00/hour (Based on experience)

Type of Position: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Typical Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 8:00am–4:00pm. Must be flexible and willing to adjust days and hours based on business needs, appointments, and team scheduling.

The Role

The Studio Assistant is responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day experience and presentation of the JK Diamond Co. studio. You will work closely with our Jewelry Specialists and General Manager to ensure the studio operates smoothly and every client receives the level of service expected from a luxury business.

You will be the first point of contact for JK Diamond Co. clients and play an important role in setting the tone for their entire experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create an Exceptional First Impression: Welcome clients warmly and professionally, anticipate their needs, and help set the tone for an elevated and personalized experience.
• Support the Jewelry Specialists: Assist all Jewelry Specialists with client appointments, studio preparation, refreshments, organization, and other day-to-day needs.
• Maintain the Studio: Take ownership of the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the studio. Ensure the space consistently looks polished, intentional, and ready for clients.
• Have an Aesthetic Eye: Maintain a strong sense of presentation and detail when preparing the studio, arranging displays, organizing materials, and preparing for client appointments.
• Manage the Company Calendar: Help maintain and organize the company calendar, including appointments, scheduling changes, and ensuring the team has accurate and up-to-date information.
• Handle Client Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to general inquiries, greet visitors, and direct client communication appropriately.
• Prepare for Appointments: Ensure the studio and meeting areas are fully prepared before each client arrives, including refreshments, presentation materials, and overall appearance.
• Assist with Studio Operations: Manage incoming and outgoing packages, mail, deliveries, office supplies, and other general studio needs.
• Support the General Manager: Assist with administrative and organizational tasks, projects, scheduling, and other responsibilities that help support the overall operation of the business.
• Be a Team Player: Jump in wherever needed to support the Jewelry Specialists and broader team and help keep the studio running efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in luxury hospitality, boutique retail, high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, executive assistant roles, or a similar client-facing environment preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Polished, professional, and welcoming demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong aesthetic sense and an eye for presentation
• Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative without constant direction
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently while supporting a larger team
• Strong computer and technology skills; experience with Apple products preferred
• Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to adjust days and hours based on business needs
• Must pass a background check
