Since corporate worship and equipping the saints are two reasons the church exists this position will lead and serve in both areas. This role will not only lead corporate worship as requested but will spearhead and support the development of student worship leaders and volunteer musicians to fulfill their God-given potential. For leadership development to remain a priority, this role will need an eye for talent, a passion for worship, a unique ability to build relationships, and a drive to build and nurture networks of volunteers. Although certainly leadership development is every staff member’s calling/responsibility, at some levels of the organization this position will serve as the key strategic Developer for the student Contemporary Worship Department. At other levels of the organization, this position will serve as a Supporter, aiding other worship leaders in training and from time to time overseeing the development process in particular areas of contemporary worship to be an “identifiably Christ Chapel” way of worship. And in the Supporter role, this person will help with the administrative functions of the entire contemporary student worship department. Finally, as a Project Manager, this person occasionally may also be asked by Christ Chapel’s Executive Director of Worship Arts to take on special short-term assignments to serve as the leader for church initiatives in aiding our people in worship. More specifically:
This role is responsible for overseeing worship for all student ministries from 5th grade - 12th grade. They are responsible for overseeing recruitment, auditions, and training of students to equip them to be able to serve and be developed in worship leading for these services. They will help coach and train our campus student worship staff. They are responsible for maintaining and overseeing all Planning Centers pertaining to these services. They will manage and maintain budgets that pertain to these services. They are responsible to attend all student worship department meetings as well as production/service meetings. They will be responsible to serve as needed and observe services. In addition, they will support services across CCBC including: main services, all other forms of worship that are requested by other ministries, I.e., MSM/HSM, Women in the Word, Men’s ministry, Soul Care, Missions, etc. They are not required to be the front and center leader all the time, but they are expected to serve in support and music director roles. They report directly to the Fort Worth Worship Leader.

This person must be spiritually mature, humble, trustworthy, flexible, willing to follow, able to lead, and creative. In addition, this person must possess ample musical abilities and leadership competencies to lead worship, build teams, teach skills, and shepherd people. Prior ministry experience and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree are desirable.

If a believer only receives one gift (I Pet 4:10) then the ideal candidate will have the spiritual gift of administration, “using the gift with all the strength and energy that God supplies, bringing Glory to God through Jesus Christ.” (I Pet 4:11)
