Role’s Mission:Since corporate worship and equipping the saints are two reasons the church exists this position will lead and serve in both areas. This role will not only lead corporate worship but will spearhead and support the development of worship leaders, paid staff, and volunteer musicians to fulfill their God-given potential. For leadership development to remain a priority, this role will need an eye for talent, a passion for worship, a unique ability to build relationships, and a drive to build and nurture networks of volunteers. Although certainly leadership development is every staff member’s calling/responsibility, at some levels of the organization this position will serve as a key strategic Developer for the Contemporary Music Department. At other levels of the organization, this position will serve as a Supporter, aiding other worship leaders in training and from time to time overseeing the development process in particular areas of contemporary worship to be an “identifiably Christ Chapel” way of worship. And in the Supporter role, this person will help with the administrative functions of the entire contemporary worship department. Finally, as a Project Manager, this person will be asked by Christ Chapel’s Executive Director of Worship Arts to take on special short-term assignments to serve as the leader for church initiatives in aiding our people in worship. More specifically:Direct support and leadership to the Contemporary Worship team. Helps manage administrative duties, manage budgets, execution of vision, hiring, department meetings, song database, projects, Worship Team meetings, coaching, discipling, disciplinary action, residents, trainings, auditions, on-boarding, and coaching. In addition, this individual will be responsible for having a major emphasis and focus on creative aspects of song writing and song arrangements. They will attend weekly sunday service planning meetings. Sunday roles include being the worship leader, music directing, and serving in support roles across all campuses. At times they will float and observe how the worship experience is at other campuses and provide coaching and feedback to worship staff. In addition, this person must possess ample musical abilities and leadership competencies to lead worship, build teams, teach skills, and shepherd people.
