Crosswalk.com, Ltd. is seeking a Worship & Creative Arts Director to plan and lead the weekly Worship Gathering on Sundays and provide Creative Arts support across ministries.

Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the role directs Worship and Tech teams, supports pastoral initiatives, and offers growth opportunities in Creative Arts leadership and team development. The position requires 3+ years of worship ministry leadership, strong musical ability, and exceptional communication, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Requires ministry degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of worship ministry leadership at local church level.
• Strong musical abilities and familiarity with worship-band instruments.
• Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and leading rehearsal and Sunday worship.
• Excellent interpersonal leadership and communication for team development.

# **Worship & Creative Arts Director**## **General Description**This position is responsible for planning, preparing, implementing, and reviewing the weekly Worship Gathering on Sunday morning, as well as providing Creative Arts support across all ministries. This position reports to the Lead Pastor and directs two Ministry Teams: Worship (including musicians and vocalists) and Tech (including Audio, Media, and Livestream Ministry Partners). Opportunities for growth include leadership of the Prayer Team and the Response Team as well as building a Create Arts team. **3+ years** of Worship Ministry Leadership experience (or similar role) preferred.## **Weekly Expectations (40 hours per week):*** **Weekly Rehearsal (4 hours)*** **Sunday Worship Gathering (6 hours)** + Pre-Service Preparation + Set up + Run Through + Service + Tear Down + Post-service tasks* **Administrative Tasks (4 hours per week)** + Service planning and scheduling through Planning Center + ProPresenter build development + Reviewing potential worship songs for team consideration + Adding new songs to the master set list - Adding to Planning Center with correct chord charts & other supporting files - Adding to ProPresenter library with correct lyrics & ‘normal’ arrangement - Ensuring worship team members have access to supporting resources like rehearsal mix, worship artistry, etc. - Adding the backing tracks through Loop Community/Prime + Song database management in Planning Center and Loops app. - Scrubbing the master set list - Ensuring the scrubbed list has correct keys, correct chord charts (& correct format), and correct supporting files + Exploring other media elements for consideration during the worship gathering (videos, etc.) + Assisting with new/missing people engagement weekly* **Team/Pastoral Development (6 hours per week)** + Meeting with and developing Worship and Tech Ministry Team Leaders - Currently this is one position (tech lead), but could grow into multiple. + Relational investment in ministry partners + Recruiting new ministry partners for Worship and Tech teams* **Strategic Planning and Growth (5 hours per week)** + Meeting with the Teaching Team to craft future worship gatherings + Planning and executing auxiliary worship team events and training + Musical and spiritual growth for self and team + Long-term planning and goal setting, etc. + Participation in a consistent coaching relationship + Oversight (proactive vision & conversation) and support for Worship across other ministry areas (KidMin, Students, Adults)* **Creative Arts Leadership (10-12 hours per week)** + Provide graphic support to ministries including message series graphics, ministry event slides, etc. + Coordinate the development and production of the weekly church bulletin + Coordinate the church’s Social media presence, supporting/equipping various ministry areas + Building, leading, and pastoring a Creative Arts team to support the above activities* **General Meetings and Communication (3-5 hours per week)**### ### **Requirements:*** **Strong Spiritual Foundation** + Agrees with the Connections Beliefs, Mission, Vision, and Values Summary available at www.connections.cc/about-us Full description available here + Signed acceptance of the Leader’s Statement of Faith + Baptism by immersion + Consistent engagement in discipleship relationships/environments (individual and group) + Ministry degree or equivalent experience required* **Strong Musical Abilities, including:** + Ability to play at least one instrument at an upper-intermediate to advanced level (or effort put toward growth in this) + Basic understanding of typical worship-band instruments (guitar, keys, bass, drums, vocals, etc.). + Ability to equip teams for success - Read and write chord charts - Transpose music - Instruct vocalists through harmony parts - Instruct players on some instruments and/or point them to resources for development* **Strong interpersonal leadership skills*** **At least 3-5 years of experience leading worship ministry at the local church level** + 2 Professional references who can speak to your leadership are expected + A minimum of 1 audio/video example of your leadership is expected* **Strong Communication Skills** + Verbal and written mediums + Experience with graphics software (Canva, Adobe products, etc.) + Experience with video production/editing preferred but not required
