Job summary

Mount St. Mary’s University seeks a Student Experience (Work-Study) student worker to promote campus events, support resource-based programs, and staff the lower McGowan Center Ask Desk with exceptional service.

You will create engaging content using Canva and social platforms, collaborate with departments through the Stakeholders Committee, and ensure content aligns with branding while developing communication skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at Mount St. Mary’s University
• Strong editing skills
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and trends
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passion for student engagement and success
• Ability to meet deadlines and attend all assigned shifts
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to collaborate within and outside the department

Responsibilities

• Communication Creation: Utilize Canva to create engaging, clear, and organized advertising
• Content/Advertising: Utilize Carousel, Mount PEAK, Mount Messenger, and Instagram to advertise Student Experience events

Position Title: Student Worker - Student Experience (Work-Study)

Job Description: We are seeking a creative, engaging, and motivated Student Experience student worker to assist with the marketing of student experiences, execution of resource-based programs for students, and manage the lower McGowan Center Student Ask Desk with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Communication Creation: Utilize Canva to create engaging, clear, and organized advertising

Salary and Hours:

Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland. Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week. We will work with schedules to ensure there are no conflicts with classes/sports.
