  • Familiar with the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple duties and projects to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to CTLE staff with projects or tasks.

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Office and Programing Assistant for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE).

Core Responsibilities
  • Administrative/Clerical Provide support to the CTLE staff with projects or tasks.
  • Record attendance for CTLE events.
  • Collect and summarize comments from feedback forms.

  • Event and Program Management Assist with room reservations.
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up for events.
  • Assist getting students more involved and obtaining feedback and suggestions from students on innovative teaching and learning activities.
  • Participate in CTLE Staff/Team meeting reports.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.

  • Strong understanding of grammatical mechanics to edit copy materials.
  • Work experience in an office setting.
  • Experience working with events/meetings.
Work Hours

This position will work 19.5 hours per week. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.

Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $12.00 per hour.
