Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented administrative assistant to support the department with filing, data entry, and handling customer requests. You will prepare presentations for company leaders and identify opportunities to improve processes in collaboration with teams.

The role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; currently enrolled in an accredited college or university majoring in communications, business or health discipline.
  • 1-3 years experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Less than 1 year experience with integrated HRIS/payroll systems; Ceridian preferred.
  • Less than 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the department including filing, data entry and handling customer requests
  • Prepares presentations to company leaders
  • Helps identify opportunities for process efficiency and collaborates with teams as necessary
  • Assists with the analysis and resolution of department issues and makes recommendations as appropriate.
  • Assists staff with various support activities upon request, such as special projects, reports, etc.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures
